And what next showed here is officially My Xeon. My first class server-like processor. But unfortunately Intel call it today High-end users class. Which especially using big processor development and usually use a lot of application that are weighty and tend to overflow and slow response by it's big structure. Microsoft Office all alone in many High-end class from Intel i3/i5 and i7 that is not performing well only by opening your flavored text-processor. 


My Xeon, as extended-services class CPU did not cost it's initial value and not even it's sale target for new cpu on the market. Most of Xeon processor from family E5 in version v2, v3 or mine a v4, had both reach it's end-of-live market insurance for wide project development, which as an introduction date of 2016. Theirs prices was turning over 3500 $US in 2016 and many cloud company had probably received hint in investing in a services providing CPU and it's replacement. I meet as far as 2005 in Ontario-Street in Montreal, a cloud-server that apparently close and the Administrator give me a postulation and interview for de-installing about sever and send it to a verification team that had the permission to re-sell to a somewhat price. In 2024, This possible motherboard had never be used and only be tested and possibly Xeon and from Montreal for dismissing all the expert cloud development with server application really failed in time since google and amazon offer power house for application, this make a wide range of dedicated server like High-End class to run extensive kvm and remote application, it's simply stop in flavor of running on Amazon, google or a Unix-like services too are reclaiming power, much more on W5 family meet at the financial which support motherboard for 4 to 6 Xeon cpu from 6842 or 3642 socket which are big and require a cooling that exceed 200 watts to cold down, it's high. Mine allow a production of 105 watts max  and run probably between 2 to 4 year in idle mode or occasional services, both processor and mainboard cost me 75$ with the delivery in 10 days . But between the Xeon meet at VDL2 which order an dual Xeon mainboard, into a e3-1650v3 I think Xeon class bought in 2003 I was looking to Gartner statistical report of prediction and launching to their intention to grow in a mid-server family. That Xeon cpu was paid about 2700 to 3500 $CAN which is high, but plenty sense to run webtrend enterprise for web-statistic . 

But I do remember, running linux on a evening on and installing an high end Arduino coming from my advanced tools to cup from the future, an Arduino and compiling my space-alien found around this date take like 0.3 second, while on my Raspberry pi4 it take 300 seconds... So I'm going someday re-compile and LVGL for esp32 and not wasting about 15 to 45 minutes before getting error ! 


This is my official E5-2650-v4 it's a refurbished from pre-used, but belong to Intel Clam technology, they made a jewel like processing owning 30Mb of smart-cache, can run to 2.9Ghz and owning about 12 Core. But the price itself is unknown and belong to offer from aliexpress, and reasonable 70$ for the same used density will offer about 20 Core and 50Mb of cache, so this one may probably never run or offered to a friend. Or simply buy it off and wait until this one burn. But belong to Intel it will clamp way out before it burn. And make them virtually eternal.

That's the CPU back, approved around november 2024, this processor is already discontinued but not in performance. Entry prices in 2016 was 1116$US.






And The main board is 2 times smaller the VDL2 board, running in a MATX form, I don't know if I should take out the back plate of my ATX board and put acrylic wall to it to save in money and belong to the heat inside wall ofacrylic can potentially be thick like 0.5 cm in thickness and offering lot of hole for air passing, or simply build over an open trial-frame which is usually an transparent acrylic plate and metal beam will be enough.


 It come with internal ethernet, usb3 with 4 port, usb2 with 6 port, SATAIII connector and an NVME bay, but I already reserved a 512Gb with and SSD, nand 2.5 inch drive and having an old 2T mechanical in SATA3 too .

 

The big think today come from what surround this jewels and it's support plate to require more than 500 watts, require "Watting" for the cooling too, but in order of the price, the called computer-case which is often in metal, cost between 50$ and 150$ and do require a shipping of at least 100$ in many case. Power supply sometimes are embedded with shipping but turn around 90$, it leave the only pcie 4.0 holding a video card with GPU/CPU, offer NVDIA compatibility this H81 family, will cost sometimes between 50$ and no limit for video card. I do believe an GTX730 with 4Gb can be affordable .

 

So this is an entry price for high-end computation, that sometimes is good to afford.
